My name is Matthew W. Hardesty and I am running for the Office of Yuma County Sheriff.
With 28 years of Law Enforcement experience, I have been a Northeastern Colorado resident for 50 years with 29 of those being in Yuma County. After graduating from Otis High School, I attended the Northeastern Junior College Police Academy, graduating in 1996. Having worked with the Sheriff’s Office for 14 years, I was also blessed with having involvement as a Water Commissioner with the State of Colorado, actively being involved with the Wray Fire Department, along with the Wray Elks Lodge #2409 and Yuma County Pheasants & Quail Forever Foundation, past E.M.T with the City of Yuma as well as the South W-Y Ambulance service, board member with the Eckley Community Center; with several other foundations and entities. In 2006 I created the business Concealedshooter LLC., which I’ve owned and operated to date. I’ve proudly helped teach firearm safety, assisting in those obtaining their Concealed Weapon permits in the state of Colorado, Kansas Wyoming and Arizona.
I proudly stand behind and support values as they pertain to Faith, family, hard work and dedication.
